Activity Landing Page Redesign

Disclaimer: Will release in June 2026 for all teachers. Images shown on this page are available in this published article by Amplify. Learn more about everything that went into the project here.

The Situation / Ask

Activity Landing Pages (ALPs) is what teachers use to teach their lessons. We needed to redesign this page for all of our customers (teachers) as they often described feeling overwhelming by the amount of information on this page. Therefore, we needed to make it easier for them to quickly find the content they need to effectively teach. Time is precious for a teacher, so the last thing we want to do is have teachers scramble for long periods of time trying to find the information they need.

Research & Key Insight(s)

As the lead researcher for this 2-year redesign initiative, I conducted surveys, interviews, and design testing, to learn about what teachers value most in their teaching and and uncover pain points.

Our design team redesigned this page in response to 400 teachers frustrations and concerns.

Final Design Concept Feedback

Here is what teachers had to say about our final designs before our public launch!

“This activity page seems less overwhelming. It’s just easier on my nervous system.”

— Literacy Teacher

It reads a lot cleaner. I don’t feel like I have to scroll around to find what I’m looking for.”

— Science Teacher

“I love the layout. It’s so easy to see the flow and it got me thinking about pacing and how to chunk student work.”

— Math Teacher

Strategy & Final Design

To provide teachers with quicker access to information, we introduced a tab-based structure and organized lesson materials into intuitive section to reduce scrolling. This would help teachers across all of our products quickly find the resources and information they needed.
